Empowering Students Through Technology

My students need 6 iPads with cases to use as a way to enhance the curriculum being taught in my classroom.

My Students

Welcome to my 1st grade classroom! We love learning in 1st grade. Students come in ready and excited to learn every day. My main goal on a yearly basis is to assist every child in growing to their fullest potential. I push them to excel and meet high expectations.

My first graders are full of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement.

They are excited about learning, making friends, and sharing their stories. They love using technology because it empowers them and allows them the opportunity to be creative but we currently do not have enough iPads for each student to work independently. My students attend school in a rural district located in Ohio.

My Project

On average, I have 22-24 students in my classroom each year but I currently only have 9 iPads. Adding 6 iPads with protective cases to my class puts me even close to 1:1 technology. Students will be using the iPads to enhance every bit of curriculum in my classroom. They will use the iPads during workstations to improve literacy and math skills as well as create and share projects! The learning opportunities with the iPad are absolutely endless!!

Over 50% of our students are from Low-socioeconomic households.

Therefore, they do not have the financial resources to provide tablets, such as iPads, in their home environments. Adding 6 iPads with cases to my class will help me put technology right where it belongs....in my 1st graders' hands. Please help me provide my first graders with the technology they love to use that will enhance and empower their learning! Thank you for your help!
