Can you remember listening to books on tape as a child? With updated technology my students will have access to more books than ever before.
My students attend a small, rural school in South Central Kansas that focuses on agriculture and technology.
Our school has a barn with real animals, and we also have a computer lab. My students love learning, science, reading and listening to reading.
My Project
The materials that I have requested will bring 2 iPod nanos into our classroom. I will put digital copies of books on the iPods and the students will be able to use them while I am working with a small group of students. As the students listen to fluent readers, they too, will become more fluent readers.
It is very important to give young readers a lot of opportunities to hear good books and fluent readers.
Thank you for helping my students become better readers and future leaders.
