My Students

Hello! I am a third-grade classroom teacher from a Title I school with over 50% of the students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. I would describe my students as kindhearted and passionate learners who are very active! They enjoy moving around the classroom and appreciate positive attention and choices.

Many of my students come from homes and face challenges beyond their control.

I am looking for simple ways to help them become inspired and grow as learners. I want them to come to school and see a place that is safe, comfortable, and flexible enough to meet their needs.

My Project

My students love using technology to help them learn. Through this project, I will be able to use the dash and dot coding robots to help my students discover how to use coding skills in new ways.

Learning coding skills can help boost a students creativity, encourage focus, enhance organizational skills and prepare students for the job market of tomorrow.

The coding challenge cards, will allow my students to work with the dash and dot robots independently during student work time. We can also use them as a whole class to build teamwork skills and enhance our reading and math lessons.

Please help my students to continue to increase their ability to use technology in productive creative ways!
