My school is an Early College program that helps underprivileged students attain a two-year Associate of Arts degree from our local community college.
Driven and dedicated, these students hunger for a chance to prove themselves to the world around them.
We strive to instill a sense of responsibility and connection to our community through building relationships and a sense of family within our school. My students are unlike the rest of our district. We are leaders.
My Project
We have been extremely fortunate to receive a class set of Chromebooks for our school. As many know, sustaining technology is often extremely difficult. In order to ensure our school enjoys the gift of these computers for many years to come, we want to protect them with cases.
Our students use computers for digital essays, Skyping with classrooms in Colombia, blogging, creating websites, and many other collaborative projects. To maintain our interactive, engaging classroom activities, we need to protect our chromebooks with hard cover shell protectors.
My students need the chance to enjoy new things.
The donation of these Chromebooks has gotten my students so excited to learn something new. I need to cultivate that hunger for learning. By protecting our new Chromebooks with these covers, I can ensure that many students will be able to benefit from these computers. Building a desire to learn is my goal as a teacher. If a computer is the best tool to do so, I will do what it takes to make sure that resource is protected and provided.
