My Students

My students are inquisitive and love to learn. They need hands on materials to guide them in their daily discovery. We are learning all about our beautiful state of Colorado diving into the geography, history, economy, and government of this wonderful place. Map reading skills are a skill we need.

A great group of students who love learning and are excited to learn new things everyday.

Our school is located in the city of Denver is a wonderful historic area. Each day is filled with excitement for learning, questions about the world around us, and discovery of new and exciting things.

My Project

During 4th grade we focus on Colorado History. Throughout the year we will study the geography, history, economy, and government of our great state. These maps of Colorado will not only help us to understand the geography of our state, but will help give us reference for the other areas of our study. Map reading skills are an important life skill that all students should have an opportunity learn. Each student having their very own map will give them all an opportunity to gain and sharpen their map reading skills.

We currently only have one large map of Colorado available in the classroom.

This project will give every single student their own map to reference, explore, and discover. Students will become more familiar with the wonderful state they live in, gain proficiency in map reading, and discover exciting places in their own back yard.
