Classroom Supplies for Interactive Notebooks

My students need basic classroom materials because many come from low income families that are unable to afford basic school supplies such as notebooks, paper, or pencils.

My Students

In my classroom students create interactive notebooks. The purpose of the Interactive Notebook is to enable the student to be a creative, independent thinker and writer. They will be used for class notes as well as for other activities/foldable and manipulatives.

Many of the students which we serve come from very underprivileged and low income families.

The families struggle to supply the student with basic classroom materials. These students are very eager to learn and participate. All the need are the basic tools in order to be successful.

My Project

I am a science teacher and the biggest part of our day is our science journal. My students often refer to it as their external brain. They keep everything in it from notes and diagrams, to foldable and lab data. With the use of the composition notebook, tape, glue sticks, paper and markers, my students will be able to create these useful notebooks throughout the year.

By receiving these basic classroom items, my students won't have to worry about they will get there materials.

They will only have to focus on learning and creating these notebooks that will house all the information they need in order to be successful in my class.
