My Students

Who needs paper and pencil when you can use a chromebook?! Our students are growing up in a digital world and what better place to use technology than in the library?! Our library is in the process of transforming from a place who houses just books to being the technology hub of our school.

Our students come from a rural background and need as many opportunities to learn new technologies as possible.

Our school serves over 330 students who use the library media center every week and will have the opportunity to use technology as much as possible!

My Project

Our students will use the Google Chromebook to search for books on the online catalog. They will learn the benefits of Google drive and cloud based storage for storing research notes and projects. Finally, our students will read e-books on the Chromebook.

Our students are growing up in a digital time and need as much practice as possible building 21st century media skills.

This project will help our students have more practice using searching for books in our library, researching online databases and encyclopedias and reading e-books. Thank you for helping our students learn!
