My students need "My Big World"; to help develop language, movement, and social development skills. The 2 Common Core items will improve Math and Phonics at an early age.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come into my classroom with hardly any academic knowledge. I need to provide various academic activities to keep the children involved and interested in learning. I provide many hands-on activities. My quote is: "All children can learn, no matter the situation."
My students come from low income families and are very needy.
They want to learn and enjoy learning when given the opportunity. A lot of the children become easily angered and can be hard to handle. I keep my children in my classroom actively engaged in learning, so I do not have many anger outbursts. I provide a safe, warm, and exciting environment in my classroom. They love to come into my classroom and are eager to learn. My children develop high self esteem due to the success they have in my classroom. I love to see the growth in all aspects of life throughout the school year.
My school has a positive atmosphere for the children. The children are rewarded for good behavior throughout the day. The teachers in the school bend over backwards for the children so they will succeed. The children in the school feel welcome in school. I love teaching and watching my students grow each day!
My Project
My students will love the magazine with all the informational material and activities throughout each issue. It will enrich their vocabulary, social development, language, and academic skills in a fun way.
The Math Common Core item I put in my project will enrich all the students by building a foundation for Math. It will provide centers and hands-on activities for each child. The activities will keep their interest and the children will want to do the activities over and over.
The Phonological Common Core item will prepare the children with a solid foundation for reading. The children will enjoy all the activities in the kit. The activities will be used in centers to provide enrichment and remedial help in a fun way for the students. The activities will keep the children engaged throughout our center time.
The three items in my project will provide each student with a positive attitude for learning and also build their self esteem.
This project will improve my classroom by providing the students with many hands-on activites for necessary skills in life, Math, and Reading.
The children will enjoy learning and want to come to school because of the fun activities provided in the three items in my project. The most important thing is that my students will have a positive experience in my classroom as well as a high self-esteem. They will wannt to come to school!
