My students need clay, watercolor pans, acrylics, craft sticks, tempera, and frame kits to explore and learn about three-dimensional art through items of air dry clay, wood, and paints for clay.
Most days and classes start with "are we using clay today?" All students deserve the chance to experience all aspects of art including sculpture. The items I am asking for will give my students the clay sculpture experience they are seeking.
I teach the entire school and that gives me the pleasure of teaching all different children from all different grades.
Most of the students in my school are low income and high need students. My students all have the drive and desire to create using their hands and becoming connected with their art. Building with one's hands is a different art experience than with a brush or pencil. Some students blossom through a more interactive form of art. The items in my cart of clay, wood and sculpture will give these students the chance to meet and practice in a new media and material.

My students need clay, watercolor pans, acrylics, craft sticks, tempera, and frame kits to explore and learn about three-dimensional art through items of air dry clay, wood, and paints for clay.
Building, creating, constructing and much more. My students will finally have the hands on experience of sculpture they have been seeking. My students will benefit from feeling the material and using their hands to build and manipulate their art work through exposure to hands on art. They will have the chance to learn how their hands can be an art tool to create and structure free standing artwork.
As an Art teacher, exposing my students to all aspects of art is a goal of mine.
Having the opportunity to bring clay to my students will allow them to reach an understanding of three-dimensional art. For my students allowing them to connect with the art material will give them a new appreciation for art and allow them to explore the skills needed to create a stable sculptural structure.
