Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every morning we start our day with morning meeting and I read a book to the class. Every Saturday I have to go to my home town library to take books out just to have something special to read for my class.
My class consists 6 first grade students with autism.
They are all boys and are all on varying levels. Some of my students are non verbal, some are very behavioral and some are just on the spectrum. My class is very challenging but also very rewarding.
My Project
The books I am asking for will be used daily in my classroom. We start our day with a book in morning meeting. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces as they listen. In addition, the books will be used in our reading comprehension center and writing center. Having new colorful books will help my students be active listeners in my classroom.

My students enjoy a good book that is short, colorful and exciting. All of these books are just what my class needs.
