With powerful technology resources available for classrooms, teachers use devices to seamlessly integrate productive lessons. I believe that with a set of class Boogie Boards in my Pre K classroom, my students could utilize this tool. we'd love to have a set of 27"Boogie Boards for my Techie Tykes!
I have been a Pre K teacher for a few years now.
I teach at a Pre K-5th grade feeder school. Parental support is a positive factor in town. Our local school has around five hundred and fifty students. I currently teach Pre K students who are eager to learn and work in centers every day. Our school is one in the district that focuses on technology integration with the students daily.
My Project
As a Pre K educator, I see how students enter school on a new level in terms of technology. They embrace it faster than ever before. A set of classroom Boogie Boards would be great for writing, drawing & other creative work. I could create activities meshed with reading, art, & math activities for this resource. We live in a world filled with technology unlike ever before. According to the site: "The revolutionary Reflex LCD featured in the Boogie Board Original 8.5 eWriter retains an image indefinitely without power until you press the erase button to clear the screen." I could place them in centers for writing practice, practicing ELA (alphabet) and math (number) practice too. The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push, just like paper and pen! My students love art. As a teacher, I love "Empowering Students Through Art". This would help my creative students with academics, as well as art projects.
It is no secret that additional technology money is not always available for the extra technology accessories and tools.
