Blocks and STEM - Creating Thinkers and Problem Solvers

My students need STEM Early Learning Kits and Wooden Blocks for STEM and Constructive Play.

FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Wolfe's classroom raised $512

My Students

Constructive play isn'€™t just about STEM. It creates flexible thinkers, develops self-control and self-esteem, and it allows children to be children, which is just what they need and want to do!

My students are creative and active thinkers who love learning and exploring with their hands and their minds.

Discovery is one of the highlights of their week. They are eager learners who love opportunities to work and collaborate together. They come from loving and hard-working homes. Our school services Pre-K through 5th grade and all receive free and or reduced lunch.

My Project

With these blocks and STEM kits, my students will have the opportunity to create, discover, problem solve, collaborate, imagine, play, and develop math, science, and engineering understanding and concepts. We plan on using these during our STEM station time, which we have weekly. We also hope to be able to use them across the curriculum throughout the week.

With the addition of these resources we will be able to help meet the needs of our kinesthetic and tactile learners whose learning is enhanced through movement and hands on learning and doing opportunities.

Use of these will also help develop and strengthen both fine and gross motor skill in our students. They will also be learning the benefits of working together and cooperatively.
