My students need 5 sets of Who Was? Book set #1 and set #2 and 2 sets of Hot Dots Word Problems to help them with reading non-fiction and math related problems.
In my classroom I have so many outstanding learners. Although I have many learners on different levels, I try my best to individualize all students learning in order to meet their needs. My students love reading the "Who was I?" Books, I plan to utilize them in a small groups.
I am in a Title one school.
We are really strapped on resources and live in an area where families don't have much. I do my best to give the students experiences they would not have otherwise. I am trying to help my students become better readers. Although they are in 4th grade, many of them are challenged and reading two grade levels below. My hope is to use the books in literacy circles to help students really understand what they are reading.
My Project
Although I teach 4th graders in a Title one school that is really strapped on resources, I do my best to give the students experiences they would not have otherwise. I am trying to help my students become better readers. My students need 5 sets of Who Was? My hope is to use the books in literacy circles to help students really understand what they are reading.
I think providing the students with non-fiction material that they will like, will allow them to be more interested and give them a chance to become better independent readers.
I think helping them to build confidence will enable them to become better fluent readers.
