My Students

Did you know that every time you learn something you grow a new brain wrinkle!? In my classroom, we are all about working hard and growing lots and lots of new brain wrinkles! It is a place where hugs are encouraged and every child feels important and loved everyday

Students in my first grade classroom are creatures of habit and busy learners!

We are a classroom family. There is never a down moment when we are trying to grow our brain wrinkles big and strong. They like to stick to the routine while having fun learning. If you walk into my classroom, you will hear lots of talking, laughing, and see lots of movement. I use a workshop setting to ensure all types of learners get what they need. Our building is a small but mighty learning community. There are only about 280 students in our school. I know every child who walks up and down our hallways and love checking in with them on a daily basis. Because we are a small building I get to know all the families and enjoy building relationships that last way beyond their time in elementary school. Our school is truly a family. Staff, students, parents, and the surrounding community are all an important part of our school family.

My Project

The chair pockets I am requesting will help my first graders stay organized to maximize learning time. Imagine being a student and knowing where every supply you need to get out is within your reach! No more walking around looking for a pencil, just reach behind your chair and there it is, in the chairback buddy! As a student, they will have a space of their own to keep all the things they need to grow brain wrinkles throughout the day. Students will keep their math journals, word study notebooks and other learning tools inside the chair pockets.

Students who have the chair pockets can start their day off super organized and be ready to learn.

Chair pockets will maximize learning time in our classroom and help students stay on track all day long. The chair pockets will brighten up our classroom and give it a clean, organized feeling. Students will no longer lose important supplies and workbooks because they will keep it all in one spot!
