This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are desperate for more hands-on opportunities in their Aquatics class! They are eager to apply what they're learning in class but with so many students, we are in need of more supplies! Please help my class get the hands-on learning experiences they deserve to become lifelong learners.

My students are eager to DO the science that they've learned about for the past few years.

In this elective course, low socioeconomic students with a genuine interest in aquatics get the opportunity to maintain their own aquatic environments while learning about the real life science that surrounds them every day. Students learn about freshwater availability, pollution, ecosystems, human intervention, water quality, and so much more. Please help these students obtain the resources they need so that we can help create future marine biologists and scientists!

My Project

Students will maintain these two aquariums with various forms of life to learn about water quality, pollution, cellular energy, homeostasis, and ecosystems. Students will learn proper procedures to keep their aquariums in balance, complete project based learning opportunities, and learn how to use various technologies employed by real scientists all over the world.

Your donations will help my students by giving them the materials they need to truly take learning into their own hands.

As 65% of my student body is classified with a low socioeconomic status, you will be helping these students get the resources needed for this class, that most students in other schools can afford to bring in themselves. Please help reduce group sizes in my classroom by giving each student more quality time with the tools they need for their learning.
