My Students
My biggest goal for my students is success. I want my students to be successful in school and strive to excel at whatever they do in life. What better way to do this than to make learning fun? The iPad in the classroom will allow for more hands-on learning and daily technology integration.
My school is considered a high poverty, Title 1 school.
For that reason, upon walking into our building/classroom, you will be greeted by teachers and staff working diligently to motivate our students with engaging lessons and exposure to areas/items they may not have access to elsewhere. So as you can see, though our students may lack the resources, they do not lack the desire. By helping give to this project, you will play an integral part in bridging the resource gap so that their desire to learn grows even stronger.
My Project
An iPad in the classroom will greatly enhance productivity, engagement, and enjoyment in every lesson. The iPad will be a key component for daily math and science instruction as we are able to integrate educational apps, live-streaming videos of both the tutorial and educational variety on Discovery Education, and daily math practice through websites such as Accelerated Math and MobyMax. My ultimate goal being to create a variety of learning experiences that will provide maximum exposure to fourth grade math and science curriculum while simultaneously utilizing technology and peaking student interest. Furthermore, I want to make learning fun and meaningful in my classroom so that their excitement and desire for learning continues and helps mold them into lifelong learners.
I strongly believe that your donations to this project will help make learning both fun and relevant for my students.
Specifically, by helping to facilitate the placement of an iPad in their hands, my students' eyes will be open to all the possibilities of new technology. Furthermore, iPads are mobile, lightweight, and kid-friendly, which is especially crucial with budget cuts and class sizes increasing, as classroom space is limited and iPads are perfect for the 21st Century classroom.
