My Students
Do you remember what it was like before you learned to play a musical instrument? My students haven't yet discovered the wonders of playing an instrument and are eager to learn to play guitar.
My students are wonderful teenagers born into poverty in the roughest neighborhood in an urban setting in Illinois.
They have dreams and aspirations just like anyone and they are determined and will stop at nothing to reach their dreams and goals and they deserve nothing but the best.
My Project
I have requested acoustic guitars because learning to play an instrument is just another way students can tap into their creative side and better their lives. Learning guitar can keep them engaged in school and focused on a positive future. Studies prove that students that know how to play instruments do better in school.
Learning guitar will forever change my students' lives.
It will engage and keep them out of trouble. It may lead to bigger and better things in their future. A creative outlet is just what some of these students need to keep their focus.
