This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are extremely active, filled with energy, and love to participate in daily Physical education activities. They are fun loving kids who enjoy team sports and appreciate the opportunity to be outdoors.

We have a student body that is highly involved in sports, clubs, and afterschool activities.

Unfortunately, funding for such activities and programs has diminished over the last few years. With limited resources our students and coaches have been able to stay competitive with our county. We are hoping to provide the students with resources that will allow us to teach essential skills needed for the students to be able to learn Physical Education. To do this my students need basketballs, footballs and volleyballs, etc., to be able to participate in Physical Education Class.

My Project

I would like to continue teaching my students to be well rounded in every aspect of their life. I want students to be conscious about their health and their overall well-being. I want students to learn about the value of team work in sports and help them develop habits that will have a positive impact for the rest of their life.

I'd like the opportunity to provide my students with the resources they need in order to learn skills such as throwing, catching, dribbling, in order to enhance their eye hand coordination and teach them important concepts such as team building, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

This project would help our Physical Education program out dramatically because of our current limited ability to provide our students with the essential tools they need in order to build such skills.
