A Place to Park Some Chromebooks

My students need a table and an outlet power strip to "park" a few Chromebooks.

My Students

Most of the students at my school are a part of the free and reduced meal program.

Many of them only have access to computers, tablets, and/or ipads at school. When they are able to use these devices at school for educational purposes, they make great progress. My 4th graders are amazing students. They love to learn and play educational games on the classroom computers and Chromebooks.

My Project

Our school has implemented Study Island this school year. This program helps students master grade level standards in a fun way. Study Island has been a great tool for my students, especially the ones that have special needs. They are very engaged with the educational games. Teachers are able to monitor progress of each student which allows the teacher to adjust assignments for their students. Having a table to "park" a few of our Chromebooks will allow my students an area away from their desk to work independently and without much of a distraction on their assignments.

Having a table and an outlet power strip for a few of our Chromebooks will allow students to work on assignments through Study Island in an area that is a little less distracting.

It will give them a different scenery and room for me to work with small groups.
