My Students

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” ― Karl Lagerfeld My students use technology more than they realize. I want them to be able to leave my classroom using more than the word processor and PowerPoint.

My students are in a rural school.

Many of them have access to some type of technology. They love learning about new ways to improve their assignments and projects. They love being able to figure out how to do things on their own. They LOVE coming to the computer lab. For most of them, it is their favorite related arts class. They enjoy exploring different types of technology and applying what they have learned.

My Project

My students will use the digital camera to improve upon what they have already learned. They can improve slide shows, create blogs, create stories using photos, and share with their parents what they are learning and doing. The students will learn how to properly use a camera, take good photographs, edit photographs, and share their photographs. They will be able to preserve their history with pictures of their school year. They will also be able to contribute to the school's yearbook, webpage, and teacher pages.

Having this camera will help my students explore and share more.

They will be able to capture moments and have something to remember the moments by. Parents, teachers, and others will be able to share in what the students are doing and learning. Students will learn more about themselves. This camera will open a whole new world for my students!
