A is for Apple, Please Help Us Make B for Boogie Boards!

My students need six Boogie Boards and sleeves for center work in my Pre K classroom.

My Students

Obviously, we live in a technology driven world filled with computers, tablets and more. A is for Apple! For us, B is for Boogie Boards! This tablet could be a huge asset for Pre K students. Not only are they cost effective in terms paper, but practical for centers in classrooms! Could you help us?

Our Pre K-5th grade school is one of the feeder schools in town.

We have over 500 wonderful students here! I am a Pre K teacher who has taught other grade levels in the past. Though it is not easy, our school is one that works hard to bring technology to our students. Our students truly love and embrace the technology resources we have.

My Project

Without a doubt, we live in a world filled with technology unlike ever before. At times though, it is difficult for schools to receive additional funding for extra resources. Next year, I'd like to try & bring Boogie Boards to my classroom centers. I offer technology lessons to my Pre K students daily. I feel that this would be an asset to my classroom. In Pre K classrooms, students learn A is for Apple, etc. I'd like for the "B" to be for Boogie Boards! What is it? According to the site: "The revolutionary Reflex LCD featured in the Boogie Board Original 8.5 eWriter retains an image indefinitely without power until you press the erase button to clear the screen. Great for children to practice writing and playing games..." I could place them in centers for writing practice, practicing ELA (alphabet) and math (number) practice too. The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push, just like paper and pen!

This device placed in centers would help in some many ways. I researched the effectiveness of boogie boards in classrooms and would love to have a set for my Pre K students. Not only are they cost effective in terms of paper, but practical for classrooms! These electronic hand held tablets and sleeves would be PERFECT for us! Would you put the "B" for Boogie Boards in my classroom? Your consideration would be appreciated!
