A Field Trip to the Zoo!, a project from Mrs. Powell

My students need donations to be able to go to the zoo and see the animals in real life that we have been talking about in class.

My Students

My classroom is full of students who are excited to learn and explore the world around them. They need to be able to have experiences outside the classroom and make learning come alive!

My students are hardworking, curious, and eager to learn.

As kindergarten students, they are in their first year of school and have started to form opinions about school that will follow them their entire lives. I would love to be able to give these students an experience through this field trip that most of them would never be able to have on their own.

My Project

If this project is funded, we will be able to take two kindergarten classes to the zoo for a day long field trip. We will be learning about different types of animals prior to going on this field trip. The students will be able to see the animals they have learned about in real life. They will be able to see the animal habitats and how different animals interact with one another. Students will also be able to enjoy some extra activities around the zoo. They will be able to take a train ride, go on the carousel, and feed some of the zoo animals.

By donating to this project, you will be giving our kindergarten students an experience that most of them wouldn't have otherwise.

They will have memories from this trip that will last a lifetime.
