8th Grade History Class in Hawaii Looking for Chromebooks

My students need two Chromebooks in order to access resources online to complete research projects as well as using the Google apps to submit their final products.

My Students

I have students that have access to mobile devices but not all have that access. When I ask students to do research, a majority will have their own cell phones to use but there are others who are at a disadvantage. Having Chromebooks to use in my classroom will limit that equity issue.

My students are made up of diverse ethnic backgrounds as well as financial situations.

Not all students have the privilege of having a personal device to use at school. Our school has technology provided mostly for Math and English but Social Studies has not been as lucky. Our school has a lot of school pride in our athletics as well as our academic programs.

My Project

Students will be using the Chromebooks to assist in research and typing up information using the OS in the Chromebooks. Students will be able to have the advantage of using the computers to accomplish the research and organize their thoughts to submit. Students will learn how to better use technology and type better.

These donations will improve the classroom by providing more opportunities for all students to use the technology and learn how to use it so they can be successful in the future.

Students will use the technology and be able to learn how to use the Internet more effectively.
