3D Printing in 3D Animation Class

My students need a 3D printer and filament so that they will be able to create physical recreations of their own 3D models.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For the past 8 years my students have been creating original 3D animated cartoons using the Autodesk Maya software. They have been able to do some amazing and creative projects using a professional level software that is used widely in the film industry for animation.

My students have always been able to prove how very creative they are and how hard they are willing to work.

Over the years I have had students from different backgrounds and the Animation class has always been able to provide them a place to develop and hone their creativity.

My Project

The students in my Advanced Animation Class will be using the 3D printer to physically create their 3D characters and objects. The printer will be able to help them tangibly realize what they created on the computer, and will be able to be printed for them to display and present at their Animation & Film Festival.

The project can make a great difference in that students in my class will be able to go from designing their original characters & objects to actually printing them and then being able to present them in the Animation & Film Festival pre-show at the end of the year.
