My Students

I have three tuba players in the high school this year.

Last year because one of them was still in middle school they were able to share the tuba but use their own mouthpiece. Now that all three are in high school, we don't have enough instruments! They are all great kids, but none of them come from a family that can afford to buy them an instrument. That is part of the reason they play tuba. They all love playing tuba as well and are very good at it. One of them only started playing last March and because he practiced so much he can already play the music that we have for this marching season, which isn't very easy at all!

My Project

I have enough tubas for marching season but once concert band starts, not all of the students will be able to play tuba because of the lack of instruments. All three students are talented and really need the opportunity to shine. Having a new instrument will help to motivate them to be even better.

Please help!

This is an expense that the students can't afford and unfortunately is over the entire music department budget. These students want to play tuba and deserve the opportunity. If you can help, we would really appreciate it.
