My Students

"Around here we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths," according to the Walt Disney Company. Children want to know about their world and we need resources!

Our third grade classroom is filled with curious and active 8 and 9-year-olds who love learning about the larger world.

All American, our ancestors are from India, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Azerbaijan, in addition to Europe and Africa. Our school is located in "The Land that Time Forgot" according to our principal. It is nestled in a suburb of Atlanta, hidden in the woods. Children, parents and grandparents live in this community and stay!

My Project

Children love TIME For Kids and anticipate the arrival of the package each month. Inside each issue are the topics that spark children's wonder. Third graders care about the world they live in and want to feel an active part. High student engagement occurs when we apply our learning to skills like graphing, informational writing, and critical thinking. These activities are linked nicely to each issue.

Being informed is the first step in being a citizen of the world.

This subscription is an educational springboard in our class. We'll use it to apply our learning and take a more active role in the world!
