The students at my K-8 school are from diverse cultural backgrounds. Our population includes English learners who speak one of a variety of other languages. We also have a number of diverse learners. In my current school, I have, with the help of my colleagues, written a plan for teaching students in these grades the process and skills involved in research. The emphasis in the Common Core Standards on this genre of writing was an impetus for me to create this scope and sequence. I look forward to teaching this unit of study; however, in order to model and engage the students in the technological aspects of the research process, I am in need of a projector. This would benefit all students.
