My students are active, emotional, and need an outlet. They are urban middle school children! My kids have all sorts of issues going on in their young lives, and they need expression. They may be active and rambunctious at times, but they have heart and I know how to get to it! My school is a 95% Title One school. Last year, we dug into dumpsters and pulled out boxes and discarded windows to paint pictures on. We won Middle School of the Year for Visual Art and we won Best in show because the passion of my students came through onto their painting surfaces. Each student created a painting that was special and relevant to them. No two were alike. These kids love to paint and we would love your support!
