My 25 students have only been together for a short amount of time in my 5th grade classroom. However, the district I work in has only one elementary school so most of them have been together since Kindergarten. This creates an amazing sense of community. Our school building is only a few years old- we are so lucky! We have a beautiful view of the marsh and wildlife visits us often- from birds inside the building to the dozens of geese that walk across our playground daily.
