Welcome please take a few minutes to read my story : ) I am going into my seventh year in the profession of teaching as an art teacher. In the past seven years I jumped into the world of teaching Kindergarten for my first 3 years teaching. This is my fourth year I decided to take on the role of art teacher to the entire school. I serve around 500 students that come from urban and high-poverty neighborhoods. Each one of them has a story to tell, experiences to share, and unfortunately, daily struggles related to their lives outside of school. Despite the challenges they face, they come to school with smiling faces and positive attitudes. My students are always eager to learn and explore new things. We love to learn through hands-on activities and I try to keep learning very relevant to students. We support and encourage one another each day.
