Our class is a workshop for learning. The children participate in a reading workshop where they read independently, in small groups, and with partners. I would like to them to be able to use iPads to listen to books together and create multimedia responses to literature. During our writing workshop, I would like the children to be able to create books and stories using the iPad and use kid-friendly sites like Kidblog to share their writing with family and friends. Students can use the iPad during math workshop to play games to practice skills and use app like interactive whiteboards apps to model problem solving. I hope that by providing iPads for my class the children will develop the skills necessary for their future success, learn how to become responsible digital citizens, and have fun learning!
