I teach full day kindergarten in a lower-income school. Close to 80% of our school's population qualifies for free and reduced lunch. About half of my students have had preschool experiences; the other half come to me in September brand new to school. I also teach in the inclusion kindergarten, where children with varying levels of special needs join my class throughout the day. All of my students come to school full of energy and enthusiasm for school and deserve a warm, welcoming place to learn!
