I am a media specialist who serves 275+ pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. Our kindergarten students currently visit the Media Center for a 45 minute block once per week and our pre-kindergarten students also attend the library weekly. Our young students are active learners who need to engage with books and text through drama, movement and consistent hands-on learning. Each year, our students study traditional folklore and fairy tales as an integral component of the literacy curriculum.
