Message from Superintendent Dave McQueen

Our district is committed to ensuring all students graduate high school prepared to make their dreams come true, whether that be attending college, gaining technical training, or beginning their career and bettering our community. We believe our partnership with DonorsChoose will help foster additional support for the high-quality instruction our students need to succeed.

About Kelseyville Unified School District

Founded in 1921, Kelseyville Unified School District (KVUSD) is the second-largest of seven districts located in Lake County, California. We serve the town of Kelseyville, including the Big Valley area, Soda Bay, the Buckingham peninsula, the Riviera, and up to the crest of Cobb Mountain.

At KVUSD, we offer many options so all students have access to the type of education that will help them be successful. Regular classroom schooling is the best method for most students. Here, we offer two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.

Sometimes students need an alternative to regular school because their personalities or emotional dispositions work better with smaller class sizes or even one-on-one instruction. Here, we offer the Ed Donaldson Education Center (a continuation high school and adult school), Kelseyville Learning Academy (a supported home-school option), and independent study programs.

The motto we live by is "Where Students Come First."
