Our students come from low-income families and most cannot afford their science fees. They are in search of their niche and over the course of this year, have shown a genuine interest in science and the improvement and knowledge of our environment and community through outdoor/hands-on experiences. With your support we were able to create a Sustainable Learning Garden! My students have taken such a great interest and educational investment in this project, I wish to establish an outdoor classroom, continue growing the garden, and incorporating similar hands on activities and projects lead by students, involving the improvement and advancement of the community and our school by helping kids explore the natural world and their impact on the environment. The seeds have been planted in these students; all we need is to nurture and support their growth.
