Of the four middle schools in our moderately sized Arkansas town, my students attend the school with the highest poverty and minority level. Many students come to school without their own supplies. Our school and teachers do the best they can to provide these supplies to our students. The last few years, I have given all of my students multiple folders and notebooks as well as countless pencils, erasers, and paper. Our school also does it's best to provide our students access to technology. However, their technology access is mainly limited to computers. I would love for my students to be able to use the technology that their peers at more affluent schools use.
