I teach at East Central High School in Hurley, Mississippi. It is a very rural and diverse area made up of a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds from below the poverty line to upper middle class. The high school is a Title-1 school and has over half the schools population on the free or reduced lunch plan. For the most part, the students are a hardworking group of young adults who go above and beyond what is expected of them to not only pass the class but excel in the class.

About my class
