My school is a community that is built on the ideas of democratic and constructivist education. Democratic means that students have choice and voice in their education,while we co create understanding. My students come from all walks of life. They are curious and eager to learn. My school does not have adequate technology. I project short video clips from a projector that was salvaged from the local community college, speakers that I've borrowed from my co teachers and I use an ancient Dell laptop that was donated by a community computer share program in the city. I don't have any cameras to use to document their work or stations where they can research or use apps related to literacy or math.
