My students need modern technology consisting of 12 Chromebooks to help them develop enriching composition and history projects.

My Students

Have you ever wanted to create something but just didn't have the proper tools? Our students in music are very creative. We would like to be able to provide them with a creative outlet for creating new music composition and historical projects through Google's Chromebook technology.

Our students live in a primarily rural area in a growing school district.

All of our students are transported by bus or their own vehicle to our school, which is literally located in the middle of farm fields. Our students represent seven small towns.

My Project

We encourage our students to create music. We feel that today's school environment focuses on the facts in many subject areas, but the opportunity to create something out of nothing is often overlooked. In our classroom we study how music is created, learn the building blocks of writing our music, and create our own compositions. Students would have the opportunity to write their own songs using this technology.

In our school I feel we have a large percentage of students who study music and also a significant number of students who choose to pursue music, either as an educator or as a performer, after their graduation.

My hope is that my students would find the opportunity to use this technology in their pursuit of creating and further spark their interest in their personal music education.
