My Students
Imagine 800 students sharing a class set of computers? Technology is our best avenue to reach the needs of all learners, but without another set of Chrome books we will struggle to meet their needs.
Our fifth grade class in our middle school is becoming to rely on many of Google's features as an avenue for their learning.
In English we use Google Docs to publish our writing, share our work with our teacher, and provided comments and feedback to one another. In reading we use Google Forms to access the information we need to read and answer our questions. In math we use many of the Chrome Web apps to practice our facts, and in science we use the internet to see what we are learning about.
My Project
A class set of Chrome books will immediately make our daily learning easier. We will be able to learn our vocabulary words at our own pace, and study our minerals in science by visiting sites that show us real examples. Each student will be able to learn how to collaborate with others in their class, and make presentations with web tools like Sliderocket and Animoto.
Most importantly, our students will be able to extend their learning and work on specific skills that are needed to close the achievement gaps.
Chrome Books are a tool that our class feels will help all learns grow and develop.
