My Students
My students are pioneers in the field of electronic music! No other club like this exists in the area as far as I know of. So they are venturing forth into uncharted territory, and almost no equipment! We have a few old and temperamental computers, but they need a few more necessities to continue.
My students are creative music enthusiasts.
They attend public high school here in the state of Tennessee with a wide array of musical taste and aspirations. Many feel a potential for real musical accomplishment through this club and cannot wait to get some much-needed tools.
My Project
With the requested tools, my students will be able to creatively explore music production on multiple levels. The keyboard will assist their expression. The microphone will assist with recording. All together they will be able to work in music production from both sides of the fence with the computer as their indispensable tool.
In our low-income community, many students do not get the opportunities to work in creating music if they do not play a traditional instrument.
This club gives the students a chance to be an integral part in the music they love while learning important technological skills that can carry over to all walks of life.
