My Students
The biggest struggle my students face is preparing for the Missouri Assessment Program test. In order to make test prep an easier process for my class I must provide proper mathematics and language arts skills, as well as effective time and behavior management skills to ensure success on the test!
My students are a bright and curious group of kids from Missouri with a willingness to do what it takes to achieve greatness.
They are eager to learn and are always wanting more knowledge on any given topic. We are experiencing major budget cuts in MO an we do not have money for extras such as an electric pencil sharpener, testing pencils, or test prep books.
My Project
Your donation will help us in a number of ways. Our current pencil sharpener has already been replaced 3 times this year because of it "eating" up the pencils and falling off the wall.
My students are asked to bring in more pencils, but due to the low socioeconomic status of most of my students they are not able to do so. If we had this electric pencil sharpener the number of interruptions during a lesson or activity would be cut down tremendously. In addition, these test prep books would aid in the preparation on the MAP test in the areas of mathematics and language arts. My students will be better prepared and able to achieve the levels of greatness that they deserve.
My goal is to have higher scores on our state test.
Your help in providing these materials will teach my class how to be effective and in turn learn skills that will help them achieve success on the test. Your generosity will be beneficial for the students, and the best part is that they can be used again and again!
