Students in my art class love to watch live demonstrations of drawing techniques. I have been performing these demonstrations for years using a video camera that provides a live feed to a 25" television mounted on the wall.
My students are visual learners and they benefit greatly from seeing a technique or process worked out in front of them.
Unfortunately, the students in the back of my large classroom have never been able to get the full picture; the room is too big and the television much too small.
My Project
A 46" television would make a world of difference for all the students in my classroom, but especially those students that are sitting towards the back of the room. I already use my current display set-up often, but with the larger screen size I know live demonstrations would become an even greater focus in my curriculum.
My students have such great potential that is matched by their desire to learn more and more about drawing and art.
By updating the inadequate equipment in my classroom to provide the most dynamic and vivid demonstrations possible, I know that they will be inspired in their artistic pursuits.
