Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How can you capture the attention of 28 students? Use technology in everyday lessons! With our digital world of video games, computers, and other virtual experiences, students are more engaged when using things that are familiar to them.
With a school district where 54% of our children come from low-income families, students count on the classroom to provide them with empowering learning experiences.
Our school has a 95% attendance rate, so it shows that our students love coming to school!
My Project
Having a digital camera for use by all students in our classroom will make them movie producers! My students love reading books and describing what they've learned. Letting them take a leadership role by creating digital book reviews to share with other students in the school helps promote responsibility and accountability for their learning. Students just love giving their opinion, so they can't wait to turn it into a virtual project!
Supporting this project will greatly impact my students.
Being able to give my students everything they deserve helps me to show them how much they are cared for. My students love taking ownership on the projects they do, and with your help they can watch themselves in action! These children need a confidence boost once in a while...please give it to them by empowering them with digital storytelling!
