My students need an iPod Touch in the classroom for learning. There are many apps for the iPod Touch that can help a child learn to write, count accurately, and even learn the alphabet.

My Students
Practice makes perfect but most people know that practice is not always fun unless "there is an app for that" or a song even.
I have a class of twelve children with a variety of learning disabilities.
They are age five to eight and are just getting started on their education. I want them to be just as successful as their friends. The special education students in my class are very eager to learn but it doesn't happen easily for them. Practice does make perfect, but these student really have to work hard.
My Project
There are many apps for the ipod touch that can help a child learn to write, count accurately, and even learn the alphabet. The best part about it is that these apps give immediate feedback so that the child doesn't waste time learning the the wrong way. The child can see immediately if they are not tracing a number correctly or they can hear the numbers or letters spoken in the correct order. There are also many educational songs available that provide another fun and motivating way to learn. Many children learn best through instruction that is musical and rhythmic.
You can help make learning fun for these enthusiastic children who have extra challenges to overcome.
They can be great readers, writers and mathematicians with a little help from some friends.
