My students need a computer in the classroom to use for technology. We have only one computer in the classroom now.

My Students

Technology Rocks! My classroom only has one computer that me and the students share. I would love to have a computer for them to play educational games during Math and Reading work stations. All my students would get to rotate through workstation the computer would be a great asset in my classroom.

I work at a Title 1 (low income) school.

A lot of my student don't have access to computers. We live in a poverty community so a lot of my students don't have access to a computer at home. The only place that they get to use a computer is at school. I only have one computer in my classroom for me and them to share, so some of my students will only get to use it once a week or once every two weeks. I think that having another computer in my room would help my students that are struggling with a particular topic.

My Project

Just having a computer in the room for my students to use will help to enrich and reinforce the topics being taught. I would use this computer for center times. Each student would rotate around my room getting a turn in the computer center. I'm sure it will be one of my students favorite centers. My goal would be to have more than one so I could have several students working at a time at a computer. I have found that some students learn better with hands-on activities . Having them able to use computer would help reach some of my struggling student.

I can't tell you how much we need an extra computer in the classroom. I will use this computer for Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. I truly feel that having an extra computer will help all my students to excel in all their subject areas.
