My students need science games, rocks and minerals collections, and a Secrets of Science Games Library to help better understand our learning objectives and to perform hands-on experiments.
How can students learn all about rocks and minerals without being able to touch what we are talking about?
My students are an energetic bunch of fourth graders who love to learn and come to school.
They love science and jump at the chance to do a science lab or learn about why something is the way it is. My students are tactile learners and learn by touching and interacting with what they are learning.
In fourth grade we are to teach the students all about rocks and minerals. I plan on using these centers and games after I teach them about rocks and minerals and what they look like. Students can see pictures of rocks and minerals, but these materials will help me teach the material that they need to learn and will help my students actually see the rocks and minerals in person rather than having them look at a picture on the computer.
My Project
These science materials will help me be able teach science and make it fun for my students. I try my very best to teach rocks and minerals and other science topics, but having the hands on materials and games requested will make it a lot more fun and interactive for my students.
Right now, our school has a collection of rocks and minerals but these resources have seen better days. By providing my students with rocks and minerals and a game it will allow them learn all about rocks and minerals through a fun experience that will help them remember.
