Ms. Gordon from Brooklyn NY is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need sets of Early Language Game Libraries and Connect-A-Sound Matching Boards, as well as other manipulatives to build their phonemic awareness and to practice phonics and sight words skills.

My students love to "show what they know," but do not have the resources to practice the reading skills they have learned. Please help give my scholars the opportunity to practice, because practice makes perfect!
My bright Kindergarten scholars are from a historically disenfranchised neighborhood in New York.
My scholars come from low income families and most receive free or reduced lunch. In their neighborhood, good schools are like a needle in a haystack. In our charter school, my scholars are working their way toward graduating college, even in Kindergarten. They know that in 2027, they will receive a college diploma. My scholars are kind, full of energy, and smart. They come to school each day ready to learn how to read, write, and do math. My scholars are invested in meeting their Big Goal of learning to read like 1st graders, despite the challenges that they face every day.
My classroom is in need of activities that my scholars can do independently in small groups, while I teach reading. These centers activities will not only allow my scholars to flex their phonemic awareness muscles and demonstrate their abilities to sound out words, but it will also give them the opportunity to cooperate with their peers and help one another. These engaging learning activities will help my readers at every level. They will give my students the practice they need to become strong readers who will be ready to conquer 1st grade and beyond.
Practice makes perfect.
Please help my wonderful students practice daily the foundational reading skills they will need to be successful in Kindergarten and in life. These engaging learning games will set my readers of all levels up for success.
