My students need science materials, such as Color-Changing Touch Squares and a plant growing lab, as well as kits, like a crystal growing kit, to conduct long-term investigations in science.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How fast do plants grow? How long does evaporation take? Will a potato clock run forever? These are questions that we will be exploring in class.
Remember when you used to ask "Why" about everything?
My students have amazing questions - but are lacking the materials to find the answers. They just need the opportunity to explore what they are curious about. That is why I am asking you to help by giving them the tools to succeed.
Our school serves a diverse population of high-poverty students. Many of my students come from families that do not have the resources to allow their children to conduct experiments in the home.
Recently, I noticed that many children congregate in my non-fiction class library around the science books. They look at the pictures and ask wonderful questions.
I'd like to give them the chance to find the answers to some of them.
My Project
I am requesting science experiment materials and supplies to conduct several, on-going, long-term investigations in my classroom These supplies will allow my students to explore topics such as crystals, plants, snow, color and the potato clock.
My goal is for my classroom to become a place of scientific exploration and wonder through continued, long-term experiments.
The experiments will help my students learn that data and information can be gained though repeated observations and trials.
This project is so important to me because many of my students have terrific questions about science and the world around them... and I want them to grow into learners that continue to ask "Why"!
