My students need a new CD player and a variety of music and books with cds.

My Students

Every young child loves music! The cd player in our classroom only works about half of the time! Please help us be able to enjoy music every day!

I teach 5 year-olds in kindergarten in rural South Carolina.

My students are bright and inquisitive. We are a Title One school with 93% of kindergarten students receiving free/reduced lunch. Our school was featured on South Carolina ETV's "Corridor of Shame." All of our funds have been frozen for two years.

My Project

The new cd player would be a lifesaver! My students get upset when it is time for our morning songs and the cd player will not work. Students learn so many skills from music! We would also like some new cds to listen to. I am requesting songs that teach skills and songs for enjoyment and learning about different styles of music. We would also like a new set of Dr. Jean books with the cd.

Our kindergarten students receive no formal music instruction.

The cd player would allow us to listen to different styles of music, learn from music and listen to books being read.
